Crescent Capital II LP commenced investing in 2004.
Investments undertaken so far include:-
- Audio Processing Technology (APT) is engaged in the development and sale of audio compression solutions to the international broadcast industry.
- Avalon Instruments, In 2005, the fund invested £350k in Avalon a developer of Raman Spectroscopy testing instruments. In 2006 the company received an attractive offer for the business from Perkin Elmer, a leading US health and scientific instrument manufacturer quoted on the New York Stock Exchange. The company was sold in September 2006 for significant premium to original cost.
- Datactics is a Queens University Belfast spin-out that has developed a software product (Data Trawler) for use in data mining, data cleansing and de-duplication. The company has achieved credible market traction in the financial services, fraud detection, money laundering and cost efficiencies in the areas of record/account duplication. The investment was made in 2006 through the purchase of the Emerging Business Trust’s investment in the company.
- Fusion Antibodies is a biotechnology company focusing on the discovery, development and commercialisation of antibody based therapeutics for cancer, as well as providing associated recombinant protein engineering services to the bioscience industry. The investment was made in 2006 through the purchase of the Emerging Business Trust’s investment in the company.
- Lagan Technologies, a leading provider of CRM solutions to government and public sector customers both in the UK and the US.
- MailDistiller operates a hosted service for email security by blocking viruses and junk mail before they reach a customer’s server network.
- Omiino – Omiino Limited is a Telecommunications Silicone Device Company that is focused on supplying the Telecom Equiptment Manufacturers (TEMs) wiith a portfolio of silicone solutions.
- Replify – Replify is a start-up venture focused on developing and
bringing to market a solution that will enable more efficient remote access to centrally held software applications. This niche forms part of a growing market sector called Wide Area Networks “WAN” Optimisation/Application and Acceleration.
