APT and SRS labs set to revolutionize Bluetooth Listening
Audio Coding Specialist, APT have announced a strategic marketing agreement with SRS Labs (NASDAQ: SRSL),the industry leader in surround sound, audio enhancement and voice processing technologies. The agreement between the companies enables a combined fast-to-market technology solution which delivers the highest quality audio performance for Bluetooth devices. The two companies will demonstrate the combined solution at the CTIA Wireless event in Las Vegas, April 1-3rd at the Mtertainment Pavilion in booths 4427-H and 4427-QQ.
The first product release of the agreement will see APT’s apt-X® technology combined with SRS WOW HDTM, providing an advanced leap in sound quality for Bluetooth versus the standard sound quality of SBC. The resulting offering will deliver a significant improvement over standard SBC for both audio and video streaming, providing device makers and consumers with audiophile quality sound for the first time on their Bluetooth devices. As part of the agreement, APT will also perform a series of technical implementations of SRS technologies onto the CSR BlueCore 5 platform, assuring a continued innovation stream that will provide consumers with highly sought after improvements to Bluetooth audio.
