Crescent Portfolio features in Deloitte fast 50 Awards

Between 2000 and 2007, Crescent Portfolio companies have frequently featured within the top 50 companies in Ireland in the acclaimed ‘Deloitte Fast 50 Awards’ an accolade held by the fifty fastest growing technology firms on the island of Ireland. The ranking is based on percentage growth in revenue over a five year period.
Now in its eighth year, the 2007 list named the following four Crescent backed companies:

In commenting on this years results Tom Keenan partner with Deloitte in Belfast, said: ‘We are delighted with the interest shown in this year’s awards and that Northern Ireland will be strongly represented again among the best technology companies on the island.’
‘It is particularly encouraging that we have some of our previous rising stars now taking their place alongside the more established companies.’
‘Companies who benefit on the ranking benefit enormously from their participation. We are regularly told by previous entrants that recognition in the Fast 50 can be an important stepping-stone to gaining vital profile, as well as to create real business opportunities across the island and beyond.’
In response to the awards Crescent Capital’s Managing Director Colin Walsh gives his take on what the results mean for Crescent:
‘It is very gratifying to see four of the companies that we’ve invested in up on the list. Lagan gets the honours for the highest place on list whilst Andor was also recorded for being one of only three to feature in the competition since it started.’
‘It’s hard work to get on the list in the first place, it’s even harder work maintaining the growth and staying there. It’s interesting that while the ROI companies generally win the competition, the Northerners seem to be more durable; all three of the companies that have made the chart eight years running are from the North.’
