New Audio Algorithm launched in San Francisco 2006 has been quite a year for APT and it shows no sign of ending!

At AES in San Francisco, we have just launched a brand new algorithm, apt-X Live.

We have already secured our first licensing deal for apt-X Live with Shure Inc and have had great interest from other major companies working in both professional and consumer audio.

apt-X Live will also be incorporated into the the WorldNet and WorldCast audio codecs in due course. We will be sure to keep you updated but please let us know if you have any questions.
APT has launched apt-X Live®, a ground- breaking new audio coding technology designed specifically for live performance situations.

With a multitude of potential applications in the professional audio industry, apt-X Live sets a new benchmark of audio quality, low latency and error resilience all at low data rates.

“apt-X Live is the result of extensive development and research.” explains APT’s Managing Director, Noel McKenna. “We wanted to meet the industry’s requirement for increased bandwidth efficiency and still maintain the exceptional acoustics and negligible delay that the industry associates with all apt-X algorithms. Seeded from the same architectural principles as the established apt-X range and offering a compression ratio of 8:1, apt-X Live offers an unparalleled combination of quality and efficiency.”
