Crescent Capital agree to fund Mail Distiller

MailDistiller has its origins in British Telecom’s Northern Ireland technical division. The company provides a hosted service for comprehensive e-mail security by blocking viruses and junk (spam) e-mail before they threaten an organisation network. The objective is to build a scalable business around a subscription model in a fast growing sector where MailDistiller can offer differentiation based on technology and service.
The business is still early stage, but at this point the product is in use by over 2,000 clients, who report dramatic reductions in spam received in their email boxes and the total elimination of viruses.
